COVID-19 rapid testing

Help prevent the spread of COVID-19 by opting your child into our rapid testing program! This program helps to identify asymptomatic COVID-19 cases early and ensures that affected individuals are separated from others so that we can limit the spread of the virus. All students in grades pre-K-12 are eligible to opt-in to this optional program that is helping to keep our schools safe. Click here to opt in by creating an account on Project Beacon or click here to learn more about the program.

Pandemic Electronic Benefits Transfer (P-EBT)

The Pandemic Electronic Benefits Transfer (P-EBT) is a program for families that provides a debit card preloaded with funds that can be used for groceries.

To be eligible, children must qualify for free or reduced-price meals based on income AND have turned in the free or reduced-priced meals application to school for 2020-21, OR be enrolled in a school that participated in the Community Eligibility Provision, Provision 2 or Provision 3 federal program in 2020-21.

There is no application process necessary to obtain these benefits. Families will automatically receive benefits if their school has identified that a student qualifies. The Oklahoma Department of Human Services will begin mailing P-EBT cards to households in mid-September. For additional information, please visit this link.

We encourage families to complete the Free or Reduced Meal Application for the 2021-2022 school year in case the P-EBT benefit is available again next year.

2021 Hispanic Heritage Month Art Contest

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, we invite Tulsa Public Schools’ students in 1st through 12th grade to participate in the 2021 Hispanic Heritage Month Art Contest with the theme My Name, My Identity: Celebrating My Story. This student art contest will highlight the importance of embracing one’s cultural identity, encourage students to feel a sense of pride about their name, and use artwork to express the meaning of their names.

All entries must be submitted online using the Student Art Contest Entry Form. Entries must include a photograph or scanned copy of the original artwork, and a short video of the student introducing themselves by saying their name and describing their work.
