Getting to School
Arrival/Dismissal
The doors of Owen will open at 7:10am for breakfast in the classrooms. Breakfast will be served from 7:10 am to 7:45 am each morning. All students must be picked up by 2:55 pm.
DROP OFF/ ARRIVAL
All students are to be dropped off at the front doors. You must drop off at the sidewalk in front of the school as you are facing south on the street (passenger doors open to the school sidewalk). Parents that are dropping students off must wrap around the school and wait their turn to drop off. Please do not cut in the line. It doesn’t take long. Promise! Please do not drop your children off in the middle of the street. Please do not park across the street from the school. You must use the parking lot.
EARLY PICK UP
- Make sure your school has the accurate list of persons approved for picking up your child from school.
- Adults must present their photo ID to pick up a student early.

PICK UP / DISMISSAL
- All students will wait in their classrooms for dismissal.
- Walkers will be dismissed first.
- Families will be assigned a group number for dismissal.
- Students will exit the south door when their names are called.
- Parents that are walking up will form a line at the south entrance/exit.
- Families that drive up will form a line on the same side of the street as the school. They will remain in line until they pull through the parking lot. Students will stand and wait at the south entrance/exit for their ride to pull up.
- Families in the car pick up line will not be allowed to cut in line. They will not be allowed to get out of their cars in line as well.
- Pickup cards should be displayed in the car window for easy viewing. Pickup Cards will be distributed the first day of school.
Bus Routes
We provide bus transportation for:
- Non-transfer elementary students living 1.5 miles or more from their school; and
- Non-transfer middle school or high school students living 2 miles or more from their school.
Buses may arrive up to 15 minutes after the scheduled stop time. Students should remain at the stop up to 15 minutes after the scheduled stop time. If students wait longer than 15 minutes, call 918-833-8100.

Who do I call if my child has not returned home from school on time?
- First call your child’s school
- If you do not get an answer, call transportation at 918-833-8100
- Note: buses may run 10-minutes after the posted stop time

- Note: There is a 3-5 day processing window for all new applications

SET UP SAFESTOP
- Download the SafeStop app from the App Store or Google Play.
- Enter the school access code. (5C001)
- Enter your child’s unique Student ID.
- Select the bus or route name based on school communications preference you wish to track.
- Create alert zones around drop-off and pick-up points.
You’re all set! You will be able to track the movement of the bus during active route times and receive notifications when the bus enters your custom alert zone(s).
